Sian Hodgson
Senior Economist
Sian is an economist by training, with experience in analysing HTA methodologies, economic evaluations, and pharmaceutical pricing models. Her recent work has also explored healthcare system sustainability and resilience, and the relationship between distance and emergency department demand.
Sian’s current research interests span a variety of topics and methodologies. Current topics of interest include methods to establish health system efficiency, facilitating market access for novel technologies through the assessment of HTA methodologies and/or establishing appropriate pricing mechanisms – particularly for innovative technologies such as gene therapies – and the development of candidate EQ-5D ‘bolt-on’ items.
