OHE is delighted to announce the appointment of Mike Herdman as Head of Health Outcomes, a new position at OHE. Mike brings with him extensive experience in psychometrics and in the development and validation of quality of life instruments.
OHE is delighted to announce the appointment of Mike Herdman as Head of Health Outcomes, a new position at OHE. Mike brings with him extensive experience in psychometrics and in the development and validation of quality of life instruments. He is a senior member of the EuroQol Group, an elected member of its executive committee, and is leading the project validating translated versions of the EQ-5D. At OHE, he will be leading both consulting and research projects on health outcomes.
Prior to joining OHE, Mike was Managing Director of Insight Consulting & Research, based in Barcelona. His clients included pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, health technology assessment agencies and the EuroQol Foundation. He also has hands-on experience in conducting cost-effectiveness and cost-utility studies. Mike’s earlier positions provided experience in research, again in the field of patient-reported outcomes, in several public agencies—the Catalan Institute of Public Health, the Catalan Agency for Health Technology Assessment, and the Barcelona Municipal Institute for Medical Research.
Mike holds an MSc in Bioethics and Law from the University of Barcelona and a BSc in Philosophy from the University of Hull. He has published widely on PRO instruments.
We are looking forward to Mike’s contribution to further enhancing OHE’s established reputation for leadership in health outcomes, particularly patient-reported outcome measurement.
