Professor John Cairns is a Professor of Health Economics at the London School of Hygiene and tropical Medicine.
Professor Cairns has been a member of the NICE diagnostics advisory committee since 2020. He has previously been a member of the NIE technology appraisal committee, as well as the Scottish Medicines Consortium. He is currently a member of the NIHR advanced fellowships selection committee and has previously been a member of the NIHR HTA commissioning board, policy research unit panel, research support service and research methods panel.
