Tuba is a health economist and science policy adviser. She currently works as a Scientific Adviser at the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). Tuba has over ten years of professional experience working in academia, the public sector, and international organisations. She has previously held positions at University College London, the University of Birmingham, and Suleyman Demirel University in Turkey. Tuba holds a PhD in Health Economics from the University of Birmingham and two master’s degrees in health economics and healthcare management.
Her research focuses on health economics, health technology assessments, healthcare management, and health policy. She has co-led several major research projects funded by organizations like Innovate UK and NIHR, evaluating novel healthcare interventions and models. Tuba has authored peer-reviewed publications and delivered presentations at leading conferences. She serves on journal editorial boards and professional committees, including the International Health Economists’ Association.
