Dilek is a senior health policy expert who has held various positions including Deputy General Manager at the Social Security Institution of Türkiye. She holds a master’s degree in International Health Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a master’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration from the Middle East Technical University.
Her experience includes policy formulation regarding pharmaceutical reimbursement, economic evaluation of drugs applying for reimbursement, drafting alternative reimbursement agreements, analysis of innovative pharmaceutical pricing and reimbursement models.
She took active role in the formulation and preparation of alternative reimbursement policy at the Social Security Institution and in the preparation of top national policy document on rare diseases at the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
Her main interest areas include health technology assessment models, rare disease policies, innovative contracting models, the use of real world data in reimbursement, patient access to medicines, e-health and vaccination policies.
Recently, she has been working on international projects aiming to the contribute finances of health through the use of cost effectiveness analysis and digital health.
