A key part of the Wellcome Trust-funded project involves engaging with diverse stakeholders across disciplines, geographies and sectors.
OHE is excited to join forces with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (GHECO and CCPH) and the Euro-Mediterranean Centre on Climate Change (CMCC) in a consortium to advance research on the ECOnomiC evaluation of the Health Impacts of Climate Action/inaction (ECO-CHICA).
This Wellcome Trust-funded collaboration aims to close the gap between how economic evaluation and environmental economics value health co-benefits of adaptation and mitigation strategies, and evaluate the environmental impacts of health technologies in Health Technology Assessments.
A key part of the project involves engaging with diverse stakeholders across disciplines, geographies and sectors to develop ECO-CHICA guidance. We invite all stakeholders to contribute, particularly:
- Researchers and research teams, including environmental and health economists, involved in evaluating climate impacts on health, or undertaking Health Technology Assessments (HTA) with a focus on the environmental consequences of products and interventions.
- Policy makers and other evidence users including government representatives, development partners and funders, interested in evidence on the health impacts of climate change, the health co-benefits of climate action, cost-effectiveness assessments, and HTA-related outputs
