In December 2017, the US Institute for Clinical and Economic Review (ICER) held a Policy Summit led by President Steven Pearson and Director of Pharmaceutical Intelligence Bill Dreitlein. OHE previously published two Research Papers developed in relation to this summit. Both papers have now been published in the Journal of Comparative Effectiveness Research and are available open access.
The first article, led by Grace Hampson and Adrian Towse, is titled Real-world evidence for coverage decisions: opportunities and challenges. It served as a background paper to stimulate discussion at the ICER Policy Summit.
The second article, co-authored by Adrian Towse and Grace Hampson, is titled A framework to guide the optimal development and use of real-world evidence for drug coverage and formulary decisions. This paper summarises the authors’ reflections based on the discussions held at the Summit.
