- Jorge Mestre-Ferrandiz was invited for the third year to give a Guest Lecture at City University on the topic of ‘The Economics of the Market for Medicines’ for students reading the MSc in Economic Evaluation in Health Care. Jorge’s presentation focused on the main issues surrounding four big areas in the pharmaceutical market: the supply side (R&D); the demand for medicines; the use of health technology assessments (HTA) in the UK and other countries; and methods of regulating medicine prices.
